順番に目の細かいコンパウンドへと変えながら、丁寧に磨き出していきます。
The bodywork is carefully polished step by step, progressively switching to finer polishing compounds to bring out an increasingly refined gloss.
デカールなどが映り込むほどの鏡面状態に仕上がってきましたが、さらに美しい光沢を目指して作業を続けていきます。
The bodywork is now developing a mirror-like finish, with the decals and surrounding details clearly reflected in the surface. However, there is still more polishing to be done to achieve an even deeper and more refined gloss.
数種類の仕上げ用コンパウンドを使い分けながら、さらに徹底的に磨き出していきます。
塗料メーカーに調合してもらったロッソコルサの色味と、実車用ウレタンクリアーによる光沢も、狙っていた雰囲気に仕上がったと思います。この状態で一旦保管し、次の工程へ進みます。
The bodywork is polished thoroughly using several different finishing compounds, gradually refining the surface to achieve the desired level of gloss.
I am very pleased with the way the custom-mixed Rosso Corsa turned out, as well as the deep gloss provided by the automotive-grade urethane clear. The overall finish has come together just as I had hoped. The bodywork is carefully stored at this stage until the next step.
