キットでは、エキゾーストシステムのパーツにメッキ加工が施されています。
しかし、パーティングラインや押出ピンの跡が目立つうえ、形状の修正も必要なため、まずはメッキを剥離していきます。
The exhaust system parts in the kit are chrome-plated.
However, the parting lines and ejector pin marks are quite noticeable, and some areas also require reshaping. Therefore, the first step is to strip away all of the chrome plating.
メッキの剥離が完了しました。
The chrome plating has now been completely removed.
押出ピンの跡は目立ちにくい位置にありますが、すべて丁寧に修正していきます。
同様に、パーティングラインもきれいに除去しておきます。
The ejector pin marks are located in areas where they are not particularly noticeable, but they are all carefully removed for a cleaner finish.
The parting lines are also carefully eliminated in the same manner.
続いて、エキゾーストマニホールドを仮組みしながら、各部を整形してきれいに収まるよう調整していきます。
Next, the exhaust manifolds are test-fitted while each section is carefully reshaped and adjusted to ensure a clean and precise fit.
微調整を繰り返しながら、左側のエキゾーストマニホールドの整形が完了しました。
After making several fine adjustments, the reshaping of the left-side exhaust manifold is now complete.
反対側のエキゾーストマニホールドも、同様に整形と微調整を行い、きれいに収まるよう仕上げていきます。
The exhaust manifold on the opposite side is also carefully reshaped and fine-tuned in the same manner, ensuring a clean and precise fit.
次に、エキゾーストパイプの加工を行います。
エキゾーストエンド部分を加工し、実車のようにパイプ状になるよう整形していきます。
Next, work begins on the exhaust pipes.
The exhaust outlet sections are carefully modified and reshaped to create a tubular appearance that more closely matches the real car.
左右のバランスを確認しながら、エキゾーストマニホールドにエキゾーストパイプを接合していきます。
The exhaust pipes are carefully joined to the exhaust manifolds while checking the alignment and balance from side to side.
