今回はサスペンションアームの整形作業から始めていきます。
キットのアーム類は基本的な形状こそ再現されていますが、実車のシャープな印象を表現するにはもう少し手を加えたいところです。まずは塗装を落としながら表面を整え、実車写真を参考に各部の形状を見直していきます。

Although the kit parts capture the basic shapes, some additional work is needed to reproduce the sharp appearance of the real car.
The existing paint was first removed, and the surfaces were carefully reworked while refining the shape of each arm using reference photos of the actual car.
押出ピン跡についても丁寧に修正しておきます。
さらに、キットでモールドされているボルト表現は削り取り、後ほど別パーツに置き換えられるよう、新たにボルト取り付け用の下穴を開けておきます。
The ejector pin marks were also carefully removed and corrected.
In addition, the molded-on bolt details were shaved off, and pilot holes were drilled to allow replacement bolts to be installed later.
アーム類の整形が完了したら、まずはメタルプライマーを吹いて十分に乾燥させます。
その後グレーサフを吹き、表面状態を確認しながら細かな傷や形状の乱れを修正していきます。
Once the suspension arms had been refined, a coat of metal primer was applied and allowed to dry thoroughly.
A grey surfacer was then sprayed on, making it easier to identify and correct any remaining surface imperfections or minor flaws.
その後、アーム全体をブラックで塗装します。
ブラックが十分に乾燥したら、アームの付け根部分を明るめのゴールドで塗り分け、実車の雰囲気を再現していきます。
The entire assembly was then painted black.
Once the paint had fully cured, the inner mounting sections of the arms were finished in a lighter gold tone to replicate the appearance of the real car.
シルバーやゴールドなどの金属色については、あえて明るめに塗装しています。最終的には全体のバランスを確認しながら、フィルタリングやスミ入れなどを行い、少しずつトーンを落として実感的な仕上がりを目指します。
Metallic colors such as silver and gold are intentionally painted slightly brighter than the desired final appearance.
Later in the build, the overall balance is assessed and the tones are gradually toned down through weathering and finishing processes to achieve a more realistic look.
ゴールド部分の明るさを調整しながらトーンを落としていきます。
その後、新たに質感の高いボルトを取り付け、各部のディテールを引き締めていきます。
The brightness of the gold finish was toned down to achieve a more realistic appearance.
High-quality replacement bolts were then installed, enhancing the detail and overall realism of the assembly.
色味の調整とボルトの取り付けが完了しました。
サスペンションアームらしい質感と立体感が加わり、より実車に近い雰囲気になりました。
The color adjustment and installation of the replacement bolts have now been completed.
The suspension arms now have a more realistic appearance, with improved texture and visual depth.
この段階でブレーキラインも追加しておきます。
これでサスペンションアームの仕上げ工程は完了です。
At this stage, the brake lines were also added.
With that, the finishing work on the suspension arms was completed.
