今回は、ポンプアッセンブリーの精度向上と仕上げの見直しから取り掛かります。
In this session, I will start with refinishing and improving the pump assembly.
実感を高めるためポンプ本体の形状を修正し、キットで一体成形されているホース接続部を削除して別パーツ化します。
The pump body is reshaped for improved accuracy, and the molded hose connection is removed and replaced with a separate part.
次にエキゾースト系の作業に移ります。まずは各接続部の精度を高めるため、整形と修正を行います。
Next, I will begin work on the exhaust system.
The first step is to refine and rework the connection points.
エキゾーストパイプはホワイトメタル製ですので、丁寧に磨き上げた後、実車の排気管に見られる焼けによる変色を再現するため、焼き色表現を施して仕上げます。
Since the exhaust pipes are cast in white metal, they will be polished to a smooth finish and then treated with heat-stain effects to replicate the characteristic discoloration of the real exhaust system.
まずパイプを磨き出し、その後、各セクションの形状と位置関係を微調整するために、仮組みを繰り返し行います。
I begin by polishing the pipes, then repeatedly test-fitting them to fine-tune the shape and alignment of each section.
必要な修正が完了したら、エキゾーストシステムをエンジンに都度仮合わせしながら、正確なアライメントを確認しつつ組み立てを進めます。
After completing the necessary adjustments, assembly proceeds while continually test-fitting the exhaust system to the engine to ensure precise alignment.
入念な調整とフィッティングを経て、エキゾーストシステムが完成しました。
The exhaust system is now fully assembled after careful adjustment and fitting.
クリアランスやアライメントを確認するため、アンダートレイも仮組みして収まりをチェックします。
I will also test-fit the undertray to ensure proper clearance and alignment.
エキゾーストパイプに焼き色表現を施してからエンジンへ装着します。焼き色の強さは、最終的に全体の色味とのバランスを確認しつつ、ややシルバー寄りに調整する予定です。
Heat discoloration is applied to the exhaust pipes before mounting them to the engine.
The intensity of the heat staining will be fine-tuned at the final stage, adjusting the tone slightly toward silver to achieve better overall balance.
あらかじめ改修しておいたポンプをエンジンへ装着し、各ホースを接続して配管系を仕上げていきます。
The previously modified pump is mounted to the engine, and the various hoses are then connected to complete the plumbing.
エキゾーストパイプの焼き色を微調整し、エンジンアッセンブリーはひとまず完成です。
With the heat staining on the exhaust pipes fine-tuned, the engine assembly is provisionally complete.
